“Spring Highlights” will be at a new location this year. This fundraiser, which is open to the public, takes place on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Palazzo Grande located at 54660 Van Dyke in Shelby Township.
The event theme this year will be New York Fashion Week. Individual Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased online at www.rjwc.org. Tables of eight are available. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and a cash bar will be available.
The event includes great shopping with over 40 vendors and artists with new spring merchandise; clothing, jewelry, handbags, home décor, unique gift items and much more. Some of the vendors who will be at the event include Annabella’s Closet, Bijonique By Maureen, Brush N’ Up Boutique, Calendar Girl, Facial Art Permanent Cosmetics, Fresh Egyptian Linens, Jenna Kator Collection, Just Girls Boutique, Marilyn’s, Patricia Riascos Art, Snap Zip Clip, Sole Sisters, Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski, Trends in Fashion, LLC and many more.
The event will also include a raffle with items generously donated by the event vendors. New this year, a complimentary Coffee Bar is available during shopping and each guest will receive a Signature Gift bag with complimentary items.
Another highlight of the luncheon will be a fashion show with the latest looks for spring provided by the event vendors and modeled by RJWC members. “Spring Highlights” will be chaired this year by Rochester Juniors club members Lisa Belisle and Karen Geibel.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Neighborhood House, Dutton Farm and Paint a Miracle. The funds from the event will help to support specific projects for the recipients:
- Neighborhood House will use the funds to aid their Capital Campaign Program for their new facility located at 1720 S. Livernois and provide the Rochester Junior Woman’s Club with the unique and historic opportunity of having a Counseling Room named upon behalf of the club.
- Dutton Farm plans to use funds to expand their integrated employment program. They want to lay the groundwork so that businesses understand the benefits of hiring people who have developmental disabilities and to see people with disabilities embraced in the integrated workforce.
- Paint a Miracle will use the grant funds to provide scholarships for low-income individuals to attend Paint a Miracle art classes. Paint a Miracle accepts all disabling conditions no matter how significant the challenge. They also accept participants regardless of their ability to pay.
For more than 60 years, the Rochester Junior Woman’s Club has been proud to contribute to the growth and vitality of the community through volunteer service and donation of funds to local charities and organizations.
